Over the years I have earned the reputation among Village Council Members of being the consensus builder on the council. I strive to to listen to all sides of an issue and then make the best decisions. For the last 15 years, I have been a member of the Legislative Committee of Mayors and Mangers. We help to formulate their legislative action plans for the area communities. For years I have participated in the Springfield Drive Down. On this annual trip, I have acted as a group leader forging the relationships in our state capitol that have and will continue to benefit the residents of Downers Grove. I have the professional support of the Village Staff and the Manager who see me as a person who is not afraid to ask the tough questions of staff but never demeans them. I believe you don't get respect unless you earn it, and I know I have earned staff's respect.
