Many residents remark that the reason they have and will continue to support me is that they trust and respect my decisions.

While they might not always agree with them, they respect my record as it is consistent and leans towards the residents point of view. They recognize the hard work and preparation that defines my decision making process. Residents know I am prepared at meetings and listen to their point of view. It's been said that I'll hold out for an additional five feet of green space when it would help the resident who might live adjacent.

Residents trust me because I do not belong to any groups that would benefit from my votes. As a matter of personal pride, I have historically chosen NOT to see the lists of campaign contributors - never wanting to blur the line of integrity. I don't ever want anyone to think that a vote of mine could be tainted by a contribution.
